We have a guest living room where you can relax and, for chilly winter evenings, there is a log burner and under floor heating. This room is also where we serve breakfast at a time to suit you. We make our own bread and preserves, grow fruit and vegetables and use eggs from free range hens who live nearby. Why not try our ‘Full Derbyshire Breakfast’: bacon, sausages, egg, tomatoes and mushrooms served on an oatcake (a local pancake like speciality). There is also home made muesli, yoghurt and fresh fruit if you’d rather have a lighter start to your day.
I am happy to provide packed lunches, afternoon teas and evening meals by arrangement.
We are surrounded by 9 acres of traditional hay meadow so in the summer you are welcome to eat outside. If you’d prefer to go out there are a selection of local pubs not far away and one that you can walk to (if you don’t mind a 40 minute stroll each way!)
If you are walking or cycling we are able to dry your clothes and shoes overnight and we have safe storage facilities for bikes.
